Our Aim
Localism sits firmly with our 'Vision Statement' to be recognised as the nation's leading house builder and creating communities where people aspire to live. In order to do this we are working closer than ever with our stakeholders and continually improving the design standards of our developments.
Communities where people aspire to live cannot be created without engagement of the local people; listening and taking on board their views whilst balancing this with the needs and wants of the Local Planning Authority and the viability of the project to ensure a tangible legacy can be left.
David Wilson Homes Southampton recognises the need for greater communication with the community in which we work and affect. With this in mind we have a team including two Community Liaison Managers who are dedicated to this vitally important link and provide a vital role in keeping the community informed of what is going on.
We have designed this website to inform those affected by our proposals and to keep you up to date with what we are doing within your area. The planning process starts with our ‘shaking hands’ on a land deal and once we have completed our purchase you will see a page dedicated to the proposed development.
Initially there will only be limited information available on the page but as the planning process gathers momentum more information will be shared with you. The site will also inform you of upcoming events and keep you up-to-date with information that you may find useful.
It is not our intention to pre-empt the planning process from day one and upload detailed designs from the outset as that would defeat the object of community involvement. We hope that this doesn't create frustration for you as invariably this will mean that information is added over a period of time - but more and more information will become available as the scheme takes shape.
We will endeavour to regularly update the website with information, advance warning of meetings and events and hope that you will visit the website regularly for updates. We would of course welcome any feedback from you about the site and how we can make it more user friendly, or any additional information that you might find useful.
